This summer's gorgeous weather took the Liberty Bank SurPRIZE Squad to the beach this week.

Nicole Nalepa and her crew headed to Hammonasset State Park in Madison to treat some beachgoers to some free parking.

Car after car pulled into the parking area, which meant yell after yell.

"Surprise!" Nalepa shouted. "We're paying for your parking today."

"Oh, you are?" said one driver. "Oh, thank you!"

Besides running back and forth between booths, Nalepa had a little fun pretending to handle money.

"Are you guys paying for parking today?" she asked a car load of beachgoers. "I can actually take your money right here. I accept cash and credit. Sometimes personal checks."

She couldn't hold in her excitement for long and soon, the jig was up.

"I'm going to give you your money back," Nalepa said. "We're going to pay for your parking today."

"You are so nice!" cheered the car full of people. "Thank you!"

Some folks were completely caught off guard. A few even didn't believe it.

"Stop!" Nalepa told them. "Put that money away."

"Oh God," one woman laughed. "I don't know what's going on. I thought, well, maybe you're doing a story or something."

"Well, you are in our story today!" responded Nalepa.

Others were happy to be on television.

"I'm on TV!" shouted the children from a family's car.

At the end of the day, the Liberty Bank SurPRIZE Squad considered the adventure a success. It paid for a lot of parking and planned to be back at it next week.
