(RNN) - The National Weather Service reports an EF2 tornado struck a Boston suburb.

The storm moved through the Boston area at about 9 a.m. ET.

"Sixty-five buildings that were substantially damaged, 13 are uninhabitable, and some of those are businesses," said Fire Chief Emergency Management Director Gene Doherty.

Trees and power lines are strewn across streets, and power crews are out to the approximately 2,800 residents without power.

There are no reports of serious injuries - only a few minor injuries.

"I had to evacuate city hall earlier this morning," Mayor Dan Rizzo said. The building sustained some damage.

Flooding is also an issue in the area, according to WCVB. More than an inch of rain had fallen within an hour in Boston and surrounding areas, closing some roads.
