STAMFORD, CT (WFSB) -
A Stamford High School teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student faced a judge on Thursday.
Danielle Watkins, 32, of Norwalk, was arrested after police said they received a tip back in June.
In Stamford Superior Court, she was hit with new charges for selling drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, interfering with a police search and breach of peace.
Court officials said evidence was also seized, including a letter to Watkins' husband that apologized for her behavior, her cell phone, the victim's cell phone, her 2007 Nissan Altima and her DNA.
Investigators said the 18-year-old student told them about multiple sexual encounters with Watkins from September 2013 until June 2014. The incidents allegedly took place in Watkins' vehicle during school hours, but off school grounds.
Watkins is also accused of sending naked pictures of herself to the student through text messages.
Police said the student needed to pass Watkins' English class in order to graduate. She used that to continue the relationship.
Watkins also threatened the teen after the student tried to end the encounters. Police said she hit and threatened to fail him.
Despite the threats, however, police said the sex was consensual.
Watkins allegedly gave the student and his friend marijuana to smoke on and off campus. A 15-year-old student said he was also given the drug.
She eventually turned herself in earlier this month.
She was charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault and possession of a hallucinogen. She was also charged with risk of injury to a minor for the incident with the 15-year-old.
Her next court appearance was scheduled for Aug. 21.
