10 indicted on numerous drug charges in Southwest Virginia

WASHINGTON COUNTY, VA (WJHL) -

Sixty-four felony indictments were placed against 10 people following a two-year investigation conducted by the Washington County, Va. Sheriff’s Office, Smyth County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, ATF and the DEA.

According to a WCVASO news release, Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman said the investigation was a continuation of the “Operation Salt-Vegas” that started in April.

The following is a list of the 10 individuals indicted and their charges from the WCVASO news release:

Brooke Elan Baker, 30, 7471 Old Mill Road, of Glade Spring Va., was indicted on three counts of sell or distribute of a schedule III controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to distribute a schedule III controlled substance. She was released on $3,500 secured bond.

Scott Michael Driscoll, 36, 426 W. Glade St., of Glade Spring, Va., was indicted on two counts of possess a gun with intent to distribute one pound or more of marijuana, one count of manufacturing marijuana, one count of distributing marijuana, three counts of conspiracy to distribute marijuana, one count of child endangerment (leaving loaded gun unsecured) and one count of premises or residence being deemed a nuisance. Driscoll was being held at the Southwest Regional Jail in Abingdon, Va. on the date of his arrest.

Dylan Michael House, 37, 426 W. Glade St., of Glade Spring, Va., was indicted on three counts of conspiracy to manufacture marijuana, two counts of possession of a gun with intent to sell one pound or more of marijuana, one counts of manufacturing marijuana, one count of distribution of marijuana, one count of child abuse (child present during the manufacture of marijuana), one count of child endangerment (leaving gun unattended) and one count of maintaining a common nuisance. House bonded out of jail.

Joseph B. Lacy McClannahan, 76, 33365 Ramblewood Drive, of Glade Spring, Va., was indicted on five counts of sell or distribute a schedule III controlled substance and four counts of maintaining a common nuisance. McClannahan bonded out of jail.

Lisa Michelle McGraw, 36, 31238 Lee Highway, of Glade Spring, Va., was indicted on three counts of sell or distribute a schedule III controlled substance, three counts of conspiracy to distribute a schedule III controlled substance and two counts of child abuse (manufacturing marijuana in a residence with a child present). McGraw bonded out of jail.

James Luther McCune, 65, 8153 Hedge Lane, of Meadowview, Va., was indicted on two counts of sell or distribute a schedule I or II controlled substance, one count of conspiracy to distribute a schedule I or II controlled substance, one count of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, one count of manufacture methamphetamine and one count of possession of a precursor used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. McCune was being held in the Southwest Regional Jail in Abingdon, Va. without bond.

Jimmy Brian Perrigan, 49, 31238 Lee Highway, of Glade Spring, Va., was indicted on three counts of sell or distribute a schedule III controlled substance, three counts of conspiracy to distribute a schedule III controlled substance and two counts of child abuse (selling a controlled substance with children present in the residence). Perrigan bonded out of jail.

Michael Wayne Roth, 52, 7030 Buchanan Road, of Glade Spring, Va., was indicted on four counts of distribution or sell a schedule I or II controlled substance. Roth bonded out of jail.

Ginger Kay Thomas, 55, 31424 Morning Glory Lane, of Meadowview, Va., was indicted on three counts of sell or distribute a schedule I or II controlled substance. Thomas was released on personal recognizance.

Troy Lee Thomas, 35, 31424 Morning Glory Lane, of Meadowview, Va., was indicted on three counts of distribute or sell methamphetamine. Thomas was being held without bond.

“This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated,” Newman said.
