Mayor Collins: "No timelines" on this situation

(Toledo News Now) -

Mayor D. Michael Collins held a press conference earlier today, at least the third so far since Toledo's water crisis began early this morning.

Collins says experts have sent water samples to three separate places, one in Columbus, one in Cincinnatti, and one in Michigan. At 3:30, one will be sent to Columbus via air transport.

"Ohio Nat'l Guard is working to transport water to us," he said, but he discouraged people from waiting in long lines at water distribution centers.

"As soon as we know where they are, where the water is, we will provide that water to you."

Collins told the media, "There is no one going to go without water at the end of this day," however, he gave no timelines as to when this crisis could be over.
