Coca-Cola teaming up with Channel 4 for Live Healthy Nashville Challenge

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

When the school year kicks into high gear it can be hard to keep up on fitness or healthy eating. That's where the Live Healthy Nashville Challenge may help you out.

Coca-Cola is teaming up with Channel 4 for the second annual Healthy for Life Expo in September. They are also one of the sponsors for the challenge.

"We love to be a part of families, individuals getting out, getting active and having fun. And so this is exactly the kind of program that we like," said Bob Bedell with Coca-Cola.

Sign up on WSMV.com, and each time you run, walk or ride your bike, enter that information and track your progress.

All of that work could do more than just help trim your waistline.

"The more active you get, the more opportunities you have to win. And it provides a great opportunity for folks to get out with their families," Bedell said.

The folks at Coca-Cola say it's about giving back.

"Coca-Cola is the local Coke bottler here in Nashville. We are very, very involved in our community, and it's very important that folks in our community understand the opportunities they have to get out and get active," Bedell said.

The Live Healthy Nashville Challenge runs through Sept. 12.

The Healthy for Life Expo is at Music City Center on Sept. 20 and 21.
