MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery police and Montgomery Public Schools officials are responding to videos that are being shared across social media.

The video shows a large fight involving numerous students. Montgomery police confirmed Wednesday that the fight happened in the parking lot across from Lee High School just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say two students were taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

MPD officials say they are working with the school system to identify all of the students involved and more charges are possible.

MPS spokesperson Tom Salter said school district officials have seen the videos and are disappointed.

"We've seen the videos, and we're very disappointed in the students who broke the rules, who misbehaved. We're working hand-in-hand with the Montgomery Police Department," Salter said. "The students who broke the law, the students who misbehaved not only face consequences from Montgomery Police Department, but they also face consequences at school. We don't tolerate fights. We don't tolerate this type of misbehavior."

Salter said fighting is considered a "very serious offense." He couldn't comment specifically on the students involved Tuesday but said possible discipline could include suspension, alternative school and expulsion.

Salter says the students who posted the videos could also face disciplinary action because when situations like this are video taped it adds to the intensity.
