Diane Holland says the picture was only posted to Facebook after she reported the bullying to Anna's teacher and principal and felt like nothing was being done. Her Facebook posts now indicate that her daughter has been moved out of the class.
“I didn't get anywhere until I posted her picture on Facebook, and it went viral. I videotaped the children bullying me, and came back to school on Thursday and that's when I came home and posted the picture on Facebook,” Diane Holland said.
KSLA News 12 took her complaint to the school administration, and they said they are well aware of the complaint.
“Basically we have a zero tolerance for bullying,” said Bill Strother, communications director for Caddo Parish Schools.
Strother says that an investigation is underway.
“Obviously if students are involved and it's been proven that bullying has gone on, they risk the result of suspension and or expulsion, and of course we're just not going to tolerate it,” Strother said.
A letter was sent home with Forest Hill Elementary students Tuesday. It shared that an allegation of bullying has been made and that all allegations are investigated thoroughly.
The letter also included their definition of bullying.
