A Lubbock family is preparing for a surgery to separate their conjoined twin daughters.
Elysse and John Mata learned in January that she was pregnant with conjoined twins.
She was sent to the Texas Children's Hospital in Houston where doctors delivered the girls by C-section in April.
Doctors say Knatalye Hope and Adeline Faith share a liver, intestines and a diaphragm.
They will soon get expanders to help stretch their skin ahead of their separation.
Doctors say the surgery will happen in about three months.
In the meantime, a fund raising site has been set up to help the family with specialized baby items for the girls.
