Enfield police have arrested a teenager in connection with one of several fires that have caused fear among residents of the Hazardville section of town, and they're calling him a suspect in other blazes.
The Journal Inquirer reports (http://bit.ly/19DRrEG ) that police charged 16-year-old Davidson Izzo with first-degree arson. His case was transferred from juvenile to adult court.
Izzo lives on Elm Street near vacant buildings that have been set on fire at least eight times since last August. He has been charged with setting fire to a vacant ranch-style house in late December.
Izzo has been detained in lieu of $750,000 bond since he was arrested March 3.
His father, James Izzo, told The Associated Press on Thursday night that his son is innocent and they're hiring a lawyer.
