Nearly 2,000 people received dental care during the 8th Connecticut Mission of Mercy this weekend.
The event was held on Friday and Saturday at the O'Neill Center at Western State University, and provided $1.65 million of patient care.
More than 1,600 volunteers participated in the event, and there were 136 dental chairs.
The clinic is held annually in Connecticut, and it is free for those who are in need of dental care and can't afford the cost of services.
Services included dental and general health screenings, x- rays, cleanings, fillings, extractions, oral surgery and limited root canal.
The clinic is made possible by the Connecticut Foundation for Dental Outreach.
