Flights were canceled and delayed at Bradley International Airport on Tuesday ahead of severe storms.
As of 2:30 p.m., four arrivals were canceled as well as two departures.
Five departure flights headed to Atlanta, Tampa, Newark, West Palm Beach and Washington, DC were delayed. Nine arrival flights were also delayed. Those canceled arrival flights were from Newark, Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta, West Palm Beach, Dallas, Washington, DC and Baltimore.
"We are seeing an increase in delays and cancellations due to the severe weather impacting various parts of the North East," Bradley spokesman said.
There is a "fairly high" possibility that severe storms will hit Connecticut. The storms are expected to bring golf-ball-sized hail, gusty winds and torrential downpours late Tuesday afternoon and into the evening commute.
