Attorney asks for public apology from Suffield - WFSB 3 Connecticut

Attorney asks for public apology from Suffield

Posted: Updated:

A Connecticut attorney not only demanded a public apology from the town of Suffield, but he also wants the police chief and captain be suspended immediately from the department.

Attorney Derek Donnelly now represents Suffield Police Commissioner Linda Stevenson.

Donnelly called for retribution and retaliation against his client after part of a police internal investigation were leaked to the I-Team last fall. He added that he wants to know who leaked those confidential documents to the media.

Donnelly said they plan to sue the town for defamation, libel and emotional distress.

Stevenson has made continued calls for an outside investigation involving recent claims. A now terminated dispatcher was working under the influence of alcohol on a few occasions.

There is no comment yet from the town, chief or captain.
