Further studies will be needed to determine the cause of death for a a 6-week-old child from Ansonia.
Police said they responded to a home on Myrtle Avenue just after 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday for the report of an unresponsive female child. The child was not breathing and was taken to Griffin Hospital, was unable to be resuscitated and died.
The infant's death was ruled "untimely."
After an autopsy was provided by chief medical examiner's office, authorities said the results found no cause or manner of death for the infant.
No further information released by police.
