Police responded to a McDonald's in Vernon on Thursday afternoon for a reported hazmat situation.
Connecticut State Police said troopers were looking for a van that was "overdue" arriving at its destination in the McDonald's parking lot.
As police approached, they said they saw a large amount of chemicals in the van.
Police said fire officials, DEEP and the DEA became involved, as it potentially could have been a meth lab.
The chemicals are being analyzed to determine if they were for making narcotics.
No further information was released by police.
