Police identify 2 men shot overnight in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Police have identified the two men, who were shot on Edgewood Street in Hartford early Sunday morning.    

Officers were alerted to the shooting in the basement of 156 Edgewood St.  just after 3:30 a.m. Neighbors said those living there throw parties regularly.

Police said 43-year-old Garnett Heny was shot in the chest and 40-year-old Knorskov T Senior was shot in the stomach. Both Hartford residents were rushed to St. Francis Hospital where police said they were still in surgery. Police did not release an update on their conditions, the two men were previously in critical condition.   

The Hartford Police Department Major Crimes Unit is investigating the shooting. Police have not said whether they have a suspect in custody yet.

The incident caused police to shut down Edgewood Street for their investigation. The street reopened with the exception of the active crime scene at 156 Edgewood St.
