Two women were arrested in New London on the Fourth of July after a domestic disturbance led to an assault.
At about 8:08 p.m. on Saturday, New London police were dispatched to 240 Williams St. for the report of a domestic type disturbance.
When crews arrived on scene, it was determined that a female victim had been physically assaulted by two females, Minera Bell and Tierra Moore. It was also determined that Bell had stabbed a male victim twice in the chest.
Police revealed that all parties involved were known to each other.
The male victim was treated and released from Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.
Bell, 33, was charged with 2nd degree assault, third degree assault and breach of peace. She is being held on a $50,000 bond.
Moore was charged with breach of peace and released from bond.
