Pasta lovers unite!
It’s National Macaroni Day, according to the website nationaldaycalendar.com.
The site said the durum wheat pasta is celebrated every year on July 7.
It also said that most people think it’s the short, hollow shapes that make up macaroni; however, it is the dough that’s used. It usually does not contain eggs.
Whether it’s macaroni salad or macaroni and cheese, elbow macaroni is perhaps the most common form of the pasta in the U.S.
