A New York man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Kent on Sunday morning.
A 2014 BMW motorcycle was traveling westbound on Route 341, which is known as Segar Mountain Road, just before 9:30 a.m. when police said the driver lost control and went off the street. Police said the motorcycle went down an embankment and struck a Department of transportation directional sign.
The driver, 52-year-old Alberto Richards, of Bronx, NY, was rushed to Danbury Hospital where police said he died from his injuries.
Brian J. Pagan, 27, of Bronx, NY, was behind Richards. Police said he also went off Route 341 and hit a DOT sign.
Pagan was rushed to Danbury Hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
