NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WFSB) -

A 60-year-old woman from Waterbury was injured after some sort of blast at Salty Brine Beach, according to WPRI.

Police said an explosion threw a woman from her chair and onto the rocks of a jetty around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, CNN reported.

That woman Kathleen Danise was rushed to the hospital, but was conscious and alert at that time, her sister told WPRI. She was released on Sunday afternoon, her sister told WPRI.

Authorities said there is no evidence of an explosive device and is unclear what caused the explosion.

Police are investigating the incident and anyone suspicious in the area at that time.
