A 41-year-old man was arrested on Monday morning after police said he was driving under the influence with a young child in the motor vehicle.
Officers stopped a vehicle on John Fitch Boulevard around 11:30 a.m. During the stop, police said the driver, Windsor resident Joseph Ramos, “appeared to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.”
Police said the young child was not wearing seat belt and sleeping in the car.
Ramos was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, risk of injury to a minor, failure to wear seat belt and failure to secure child.
Ramos is being held $5,000 bond. He will be arraigned at Manchester Superior Court on Tuesday.
