Only one state park was closed to swimmers on Monday.
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said Burr Pond State Park in Torrington was closed due to water quality concerns.
DEEP said the sample results from the water are expected by Tuesday. It will then make a decision as to whether the swimming area will reopen.
Officials said that indicator bacteria are not disease-carrying pathogens. However, they are used to evaluate the potential for contamination of water bodies.
No other swimming areas were on DEEP's closure list.
