WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

Smoke could be seen for miles after a house fire in Waterbury on Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported at a three-story home on Congress Avenue around noon. Upon arrival, flames could be seen coming out the roof. 

Authorities said the roof sustained major damage after the fire and the home is uninhabitable. 

There were no reported injuries, authorities said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
