Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is traveling to West Virginia to attend the National Governors Association's 2015 summer meeting.
The Democrat is expected to be out-of-state from Thursday through Saturday. He is scheduled to appear Friday morning at an opening news conference for the meeting, which is being held at The Greenbrier, a historic resort located in White Sulphur Springs.
The Greenbrier is described on its website as a 10,000-acre luxury retreat that has welcomed guests since 1778.
Malloy is expected to attend sessions on state tourism strategies, the opioid crisis, job skills needed for the future and health care. Governors from across the country are also scheduled to attend the conference.
