Bristol police arrested a man early Saturday morning after they said he pointed a handgun at a women.
Police said 34-year-old Joseph Johnson Jr. was in the area of 69 Davis Drive around 3 a.m. Saturday when some sort of incident occurred at which time he pointed the gun at the female victim.
Police were able to locate Johnson and recovered the firearm involved.
Johnson is being held on a $100,000 bond and is facing several charges including criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment, threatening and interfering with a police officer. He also failed to comply with officers during the booking process at headquarters.
Bristol police said Johnson is a previously convicted felon.
He is due to appear in Bristol Superior Court on Monday.
The female victim involved in the incident was not injured.
