Country music superstar Brad Paisley pointed out that every week has a weekend, and this weekend was Hartford’s turn to celebrate.
On Saturday night, Paisley fans streamed out of the XFINITY Theater with music still ringing in their ears.
Paisley brought country music to Hartford with his “Crushin’ It World Tour,” and fans were eager to get the party started early. Revanna Hogan, who was fully decked out in her country attire, said she was excited for the show.
“I have the cowgirl boots and the dress. I guess I don't know I’m from upstate New York, so I've lived in the middle of nowhere,” Hogan said.
While most people were there to see Paisley, some fans said they were there for the party beforehand.
“I’m not here for Brad Paisley, I’m here for tailgating,” one fan, who wished not to be identified, said.
However, faithful Paisley fans such as Whitney McNally Goodrich said they knew to expect a fun time.
“I've come the last eight years in a row and it's always a good show. You can expect that,” McNally Goodrich said.
The country music fan grew up on a horse farm in Wallingford, and said country music reminded her of her childhood. She enjoys the Paisley shows right here in Hartford, because while they are always big, they are a little less chaotic than concerts from other stars.
“The crowds great. It's not quite as big as the others, so you know you're not gonna sit in traffic for five hours. But you know you'll have a great time,” McNally Goodrich said.
Paisley will continue his “Crushin’ It World Tour” this Friday night at the Mountain Home Country Music Festival in Mountain Home, ID.
