Two, including 7-year-old boy, killed in Stonington crash

STONINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

Two people, including an 7-year-old boy, were killed in a fiery collision on Interstate-95 in Stonington.

State police said the crash involved one tractor trailer on the southbound side just south of exit 91. It happened Monday night.

Troopers identified the victims as Sergio Amilear Castellon, 31, and 7-year-old Sergio Giovanny Castellon.

They said Sergio Amilear Castellon struck a guide rail on the right shoulder of the highway. He also hit a bridge abutment for the Pier of the Pequot Road overpass.

Police said the boy was in a rear passenger seat when it happened.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
