A traveling website recently ranked what it called the biggest snoozefests in Connecticut.
RoadSnacks.net published a list of the top 10 most boring places to live.
It cautions that the list is based on opinion; however, it did use U.S. Census data to support its claims.
The list kicked off with the supposed “most boring place to live,” West Simsbury.
Its population over 35 was more than 65 percent and its median age was 49.5.
Orange and Essex Village followed suit.
Rounding out the top 10 was Cheshire.
RoadSnacks said it calculated the list by looking at the percent of the population over 35 years old, percent of married households, median age, percent of households with children, percent of households with people over 65 years old, percentage of young residents between the ages of 18 and 34 and population density.
With the exception of population density, anything higher fell into the site’s “boring” range.
The result was a score that put West Simsbury on top.

For contrast purposes, the site said New London and New Haven topped the list for the least boring places.
