Connecticut State Police continue to investigate a pair of accidents that occurred Friday night in East Hartford, just minutes apart.
The first accident occurred around 10:10 p.m. along I-84 eastbound near exit 55.
Police said a motorcyclist appears to have lost control, dumping his bike and striking a guardrail.
The operator, identified as 26-year-old Kamron Redding-Hall of Hartford, was rushed to Hartford Hospital where he later died.
Just five minutes later Troopers were called to Route 2 eastbound, also in East Hartford for a serious crash.
According to police, a Jeep Liberty being driven by 20-year-old Brandon Gothberg traveled into the center median. Gothberg then lost control, traveled across the highway and off the right side of the road into a overhead traffic sign support.
Gothberg suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
Both crashes remain under investigation at this time and State Police are asking anyone with details to contact Troop H at 860-534-1000.
