A couple of YouTube video bloggers took the internet by storm last week by posting a video of a father revealing to his wife that they were pregnant.
That backward moment of joy quickly turned to anguish for Sam and Nia of Texas who posted a followup video that said the pregnancy ended with a miscarriage.
"The emptiness and heartache that comes with a miscarriage came as a total shock and we are coping with this, but wanted to include you," the caption to their video reads. "There is a stigma regarding miscarriage that says we need to be alone in it and keep it private, but what happened is nothing less than losing a baby. The hurt and pain is real."
The video is titled "Our Baby Had a Heartbeat."
The couple offered an outlet for people to talk about miscarriage. They posted their email address, email@example.com, under the video, but asked anyone who emails to keep it about the topic of miscarriage.
