A nearly 100-year-old business has made its way back to New Haven.
The Bilco Company, a more than 85-year-old building industry manufacturer, will be welcomed back to the Elm City on Monday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
It had been headquartered in West Haven.
The ceremony is set for 9:45 a.m. at the company’s new headquarters on James Street.
Mayor Toni Harp, representatives from the United Way and the New Haven Chamber of Commerce will be on hand for the occasion.
They will also be there to accept a charitable donation from Bilco.
Harp said the company’s donation is going to the Fair Haven Community Health Center. The center is a non-profit primary healthcare organization that has been providing care for everything from prenatal to pediatric for adolescent, adult and geriatric services. It’s been around since 1971.
