Start that campfire and get the graham crackers.
It’s National S’mores Day, according to nationaldaycalendar.com.
The site said the popular camping treat is celebrated on Aug. 10 each year.
S’mores are typically made of roasted marshmallows, a chocolate bar and graham crackers.
The site traced the treat back to Alec Barnum who first recorded a recipe in 1927 for a Girl Scouts publication. Though the Girl Scouts don’t take credit for inventing S’mores, they first appear in their reports in 1925.
Back then, they were called “Some Mores,” which was obviously shortened.
