NORWICH, CT (WFSB) -

A man accused of phoning in a bomb threat to Norwich Superior Court on Monday has been arrested, according to state police.

Troopers said Robert Ladson, 55, was charged with first-degree threatening.

They responded to the courthouse around 1 p.m. after the threat was made. The threat prompted the evacuation of the building.

A search of the court and property turned up nothing, troopers said.

Their investigation did yield a suspect, however.

State police said they found Ladson at a Hamilton Avenue address.

The suspect was transported to state police Troop E where he was processed and held on a $50,000 bond.

Ladson is due in Norwich Superior Court on Aug. 18.
