Vermont State Police detectives are analyzing evidence collected from the Otter Creek and surrounding areas as part of their ongoing search for a 24-year-old Connecticut woman who has been missing since January.
Denise Hart, of Hartford, Connecticut, was living in Vermont when she was last seen leaving a friend's home in Sudbury on Jan. 25. The next day the car she was driving was found burning near a fishing access in Cornwall.
Police say they suspect foul play.
On Tuesday, an area of the Otter Creek was searched from Leicester to Cornwall.
In a statement distributed by the state police, Hart's mother Dedre Robinson urged anyone with information about her daughter's disappearance to come forward.
Robinson says it's been "almost eight long, hard desperate months" and her family is looking for answers.
This story has been corrected to show that Hart is 24 years old.
