BLOOMFIELD, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Bloomfield have positively identified a body found on Tuesday as a woman reported missing from Hartford.

Tashauna Jackson, 23, had been missing since Aug. 11.

Police said they found her body in the woods behind a business on Granby Street. The body was covered in brush.

It was not far from where family and friends had been searching Keney Park in Hartford Tuesday morning.

Jackson was last in the company of a man around 11 p.m. She allegedly entered a vehicle of her own free will.

Grief counselors said they will be available to help affected residents Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hartford Communities That Care located at 2550 Main St. in Hartford.

Detectives in Bloomfield said they are working with the Hartford Police Department to investigate the circumstances of Jackson's death. They called the investigation ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bloomfield Police Department at 860-242-6060.

A vigil was planned for Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Barbour and Cleveland streets in Hartford.
