After a rash of bad synthetic marijuana overdoses in Willimantic earlier this year, police said Thursday that they are looking into six more cases.
Three of those cases were reported within an hour on Thursday morning.
All of the patients were transported to Windham Hospital. Police said most of the victims were found in the Main Street and Valley Street area.
"The Willimantic Police have done a really good job cleaned up this town. I've been around forever. Born and raised here. They did an excellent job they'll get to the bottom of the case," said Edwin Alvarez.
Police said that the recent cases bring the total amount close to 20 for 2015.
Before Thursday’s cases, they said they had not had any reports in about a month.
Several people were arrested during the spring for the first rash of cases.
They said they suspected that this was another bad batch, meaning the product was mixed with an unknown substance.
