Huggies said it is looking into claims that a shard of glass was found some of its baby wipes.
The company addressed the claims on its Facebook page early Friday morning.
It said a parent originally posted to the page about the issue. The post included a picture.
"We take any concerns about our products very seriously and we are working directly with this parent to learn more about what happened and how we can help," Huggies said in its response. "Nothing is more important than the safety of the little ones who use our products."
Poster Jennifer Renee Elizabeth Fredrick posted the photo under Huggies response.
"This is from my sons wipes," she wrote. "You can see a little glimmer to the right of the crease. It feels like wiping your hands with fiber glass. I just want to get the word out about this."
Huggies wrote back.
"Any concerns about our products are taken very seriously, and we want to work directly with you to understand more about what occurred and how we can help," it said.
It encouraged parents who experienced something like this to contact its consumer care team here or by phone at 1-877-648-2484. They were told to mention the referral code "SM."
"As parents ourselves, we know you may have additional questions or concerns," Huggies continued in its post. "Please don’t hesitate to contact us."
