PLAINVILLE, CT (WFSB) -

Plainville police are investigating a bank robbery that happened at Farmington Bank Thursday afternoon.

Police said a little before 1:30 p.m. the male suspect walked into the bank located on East Street and displayed a cardboard sign that said “give me money I have a gun.”

No gun or weapon was displayed.

Police said the suspect is described as being between 40 and 50 years old, medium build, with grey/white curly hair and a grey mustache.

He was wearing a black baseball style cap with what appears to be "Italia" written on it, black sunglasses, a scarf, a navy blue shirt/sweater under a black "puffy" coat, and tan burlap type gloves. 

He fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.
