HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A Hartford family is rejoicing after their puppy was brought back home after reportedly being stolen.

Earlier this week a woman said her puppy, named Sandy, was stolen from her Hillside Avenue home.

The burglary took place between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Police said the suspects came into the building through a door, went into a closet and made a hole that granted them access to an unlocked apartment door.

The woman told Eyewitness News that while several electronics and $800 in cash were taken from residence. However, she said she was only concerned with getting their beloved Sandy back.

On Friday afternoon, the woman contacted Eyewitness News and said Sandy was back home.

The woman said Sandy was crying and was a little thinner but wasn’t hurt.

No note was left, just Sandy.

It is unclear if police have captured a suspect in this burglary.
