Amtrak's substitute bus service is getting a scheduled overhaul starting today.
The bus service, which is needed to accommodate the construction of a second track along the New Haven/Hartford/Springfield line, will be in effect Monday through Friday until July of next year.
Connecticut DOT officials said the revised schedules are need to improve customer service. Officials said buses headed to New Haven will leave the Berlin, Meriden and Wallingford stations 30 minutes earlier than train schedules.
