The Channel 3 Kids Camp Golf Tournament teed off on Wednesday morning.
This year marked the competition’s 18th year. It was held at the Mohegan Sun Golf Club in Baltic.
The first strokes were swung at 11 a.m.
This year, the tournament was capped at 144 players.
Play is expected to last until 5 p.m.
The event was emceed by meteorologist Scot Haney and chaired by WFSB General Manager Klarn DePalma.
The host chair was Mohegan Sun Tribal Council leader Kevin Brown and Tim Parker of New County Motor Cars of Hartford was the honorary chair.
Haney will emcee a dinner and awards ceremony around 7:30 p.m.
All the proceeds from the tournament go toward the non-profit Channel 3 Kids Camp in Andover.
