Milford police have arrested a Massachusetts man accused of sex trafficking.

On Thursday, police said they received a call from police in Lawrence, Mass., stating a female had been kidnapped.

They said a ping on her cell phone reported her in Milford at the Motel 6 on Schoolhouse Road.

Police in Lawrence said the female’s boyfriend had notified them after receiving text messages from her stating she was being held against her will and being treated like a “sex slave.”

An investigation revealed 36-year-old Barry Davis, of Burlington, Mass., had reportedly picked up three women in Massachusetts.

After several days, police said Davis allegedly gave the women heroin and cocaine and drove them to Connecticut to act as prostitutes.

Police said two of the women had done this service before, saying they did it out of fear of Davis.

The third female, who sent text messages to her boyfriend, was not willing to participate in the prostitution.

Police said Davis was found to be in possession of heroin and cocaine and he was charged with second-degree unlawful restraint, promoting prostitution, trafficking in person and two counts of possession of narcotics.

He was held on a $250,000 bond.
