NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

Investigators said a torso discovered in a New Haven building is likely that of a homeless man.

The state Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection's division of Scientific Services reported on Monday that the body part found on July 30 is most likely that of Ray Roberson.

Police said arms and legs found just weeks beforehand are also of the same victim.

Roberson was identified as the victim.

Two weeks after the arms and legs were found at a New Haven train station, police said they searched areas Roberson was known to frequent. That's when they discovered the torso in an old Salvation Army Building on George Street.

Police said they've been getting help with the investigation from the homeless population.

They continue to look into the case.
