Connecticut is among the strictest states in the nation when it comes to bad drivers.
The personal finance website WalletHub released an analysis of the strictest and most lenient states on high-risk drivers.
The analysis included looking at insurance premiums for high-risk drivers, DUI laws and penalties for various driving violations in the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Connecticut tied for 7th with Illinois.
The state ranked in the top 10 when it came to DUI penalties and DUI prevention. It was 31st in speeding enforcement and 27th in reckless driving penalties.
It ranked 1st in average increase in cost of insurance.
Topping the list was Arizona, where its DUI criminal penalties rank stood out over the other states.
Last on the list was South Dakota.
