HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A man was arrested for gunning down a man outside of a Hartford gas station nearly a year ago.

Police said they will charge Benjamin White, 28, with murder, among other charges.

The incident stemmed from an altercation on Sept. 28, 2014 that happened outside of the R and D Mart on Albany Avenue.

Police said the fight involved the victim, 38-year-old Anthony Wortham, and Rory Taylor.

Taylor allegedly notified his brother, later identified as White.

Less than an hour after the altercation, police said White got a firearm, traveled to the gas station shortly after 1:10 a.m., walked through a crowd of bystanders and shot Wortham in the head.

The incident was captured by video surveillance. Evidence at the scene also helped police in the case.

A warrant was eventually issued for White and he was arrested at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Along with murder, he will also be charged with criminal possession of a firearm and criminal use of a firearm.
