Two people were arrested in connection with prostitution at a day spa in Monroe.
A statewide organized crime task force worked with Monroe police detectives to arrest 53-year-old Shunna Zhang, of Flushing, NY, and 41-year-old Lan Ying Jin.
Police said they executed a search warrant at the Red Wine Day Spa, which is located at 696 Route 25, on Tuesday.
During their investigation, police seized the business records and all the surveillance video for the parlor. Investigators also seized 7.7 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a smoking pipe and $2,800.
Zhang and Ying Jin were charged with unlicensed practice of massage therapy. Zhang was also charged with prostitution while Ying Jin was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both are being held on $1,500 bonds and are expected to be arraigned on Sept. 9.
Police said they are continuing to investigate possible illegal activity at the massage parlors in Monroe.
In July, two people, 36-year-old Lian Hua Song and 50-year-old Jin Meilua, were arrested in connection with prostitution at the Monroe Healthy Message.
