SHELTON, CT (WFSB) -

Police are searching for the person responsible for stealing three semi-automatic handguns from a gun store in Shelton early Wednesday morning.

An alarm sounded at the Valley Firearms on Howe Avenue around 4:30 a.m.   

Upon arrival, officers determined someone “threw a brick through the front glass door and then broke a glass display case" before stealing the handguns. 

After the burglary, police said the suspect fled on foot exiting through the front door.

The burglary remains under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to Shelton police Department at 203-924-1544. Police said all calls “will be kept confidential.”
