HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A suspect accused of shooting two people, including a Hartford pastor earlier this year, was taken into custody on Thursday night.

Aaron Taylor, 25, of Windsor, was taken into custody on active arrest warrants for shootings on Capital Avenue, where pastor Augustus Sealy was hit.

That same day, just minutes later on Garden Street, Robert Jones was shot.

Both shootings happened on May 24, according to police.

Taylor was arrested in an East Hartford apartment on Thursday. Police said two firearms were located during the arrest as well.

Earlier on Thursday, police said Taylor is charged with criminal attempt to commit murder and first-degree assault in both cases, police said.

The warrant carries a $1.35 million judge-set bond.

During the shootings, police said Taylor drove black Nissan Maxima.

No further information was released.
