A Bristol man suffered serious injuries after he was thrown from the all-terrain vehicle he was riding Friday night.
According to police, 41-year-old Michael Blake was operating the quad along the railroad tracks near Barlow Street around 9:30 p.m. when he lost control and was ejected from the vehicle.
Blake was thrown down a railroad bridge to the pavement about 30 feet below, police said.
Blake suffered serious injuries and had to be flown by a Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
