WILLIMANTIC, CT (WFSB) -

Two people were reportedly stabbed at an apartment complex in Willimantic on Saturday evening, police said.

The double stabbing was reported at the Village Heights Apartment complex on Cameo Drive around 8 p.m. There were more than 20 police officers called to the scene.

One person was taken by LIFE STAR medical helicopter to Hartford Hospital and the second person was taken by an ambulance to Windham Hospital. Sources said that both are in stable condition.

Police said they are investigating multiple crime scenes. No arrests have been made at this time.

“At this point, I can tell you that were looking for multiple suspects. I can't give descriptions. I don't have them at this point,” Willimantic Police Cpl. Stanley Parizo said.

The entire Criminal division for Willimantic Police Department was on scene along with police from the University of Connecticut.  Police said they are hoping eyewitnesses will help them with their investigation.

“Somebody saw something. We're just asking somebody to come up come forward and give us a hand with this,” Parizo said. “Outside of technology the public is our greatest asset. “

Neighbors told Eyewitness News they came home to see police cruisers outside their front doors.

"I saw the caution tape and I was just like what is going on,” neighbor Jessica Garcia said.

Corporal Parizo says investigators will be here into the early morning hours. He does expect to have updated information for us and we will have it for you on air and online.
